Co-Occuring Disorders refers to the condition when an individual possesses a mental illness and substance abuse disorder. Symptoms can include those associated with the particular drug abuse and/or mental health conditions affecting the individual.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)
Our counseling program utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat mental health disorders such as Depression, Anxiety, Co-Occuring Disorders, and more. CBT can improve emotional regulation and assist in the development of personal coping strategies.
Motivational Interviewing is a client centered counseling style for eliciting behavior change. This process helps clients through the emotional stages of change necessary to find their motivation. Motivational Interviewing supports self-efficacy and optimism. The goals of Motivational Interviewing are to assist individuals in recognizing the effects of their behaviors and motivating them towards positive change.
STAGES OF CHANGE
Positive change comes from 5 stages: Pre-contemplation, Contemplation, Preparation, Action, and Maintenance. The stages of change is a key component to the Transtheoretical Model and is an approach used to evaluate an individual's readiness for change. It identifies several stages in the change process and can be applied to making any change in life. Our counselors can help guide you through these stages.
